Pr0nLooker v.8b - Beta Version

Pr0nLooker is currently in beta. v.8b is the latest public release.

Download Pr0nLooker v.8b Installer

Installation

Just download the installer and double-click it.

NOTE: If you have a previous version to .7b installed, please uninstall the old version via Control Panel -> Add/Remove Programs before installing the new version. This should be the last time you need to do this!

NOTE: You will need the Microsoft.NET Framework 1.1 installed on your computer to use Pr0nLooker! If the installer complains that you don't have it installed, the best way to get it is to use Windows Update. XP Users:

  • Click on your Start Menu
  • Click on All Programs
  • Click on Windows Update
2000 Users:
  • Click on your Start Menu
  • Click on Windows Update
I recommend you apply all updates the site recommends, but you will need to at least find the .NET Framework 1.1 package and choose it for installation.

Using Pr0nLooker

Welcome to pr0nLooker!

Most of us have collections of 'images' that we've downloaded from here or there that we'd like to be able to easily look at, one after the other, deleting those that we don't like. pr0nLooker is my simple attempt at filling this need.

pr0nLooker has the following features to make this endeavor more enjoyable and effective:

  • Fixed Ratio Image Resizing
  • Subfolder Recursion
  • Random or Sequential viewing
  • Right- or left-handed hotkey operation

FIXED RATIO IMAGE RESIZING
This simply means that when you resize the pr0nLooker window, your images will resize so that they fit the window with as little distortion as possible.

SUBFOLDER RECURSION
Choosing the Recurse Subfolders option in the open dialog will simply cause pr0nLooker to find all jpeg files in the root folder specified as well as all jpegs in any subfolders within the root and any subfolders in those subfolders.

RANDOM OR SEQUENTIAL VIEWING
Choose the Random Cursor Type option in the open dialog to page through your files randomly. Choose the Sequential Cursor Type option to view in the sequence they were found on your harddrive (generally by folder, then alphabetically.)

HOTKEY OPERATION
pr0nLooker supports two sets of hotkeys, one for the left hand, one for the right.

The left hand hotkeys are:
     A: Previous Image
     D: Next Image
     S: Delete Current Image
F: Copy current image to archive directory

The right hand hotkeys are:
     PgUp: Previous Image
     PgDn: Next Image
     Del: Delete Current Image
Ins: Copy current image to archive directory

Additionally, you can set a bookmark of where you are in your images with the Enter key. You can load a bookmark you've set with the Backspace key. NOTE: A bookmark is automatically set upon closing the application.

So why not point the open folder dialog at the root folder your images are in and check out the pix you like and delete the ones you don't?

Have fun,

skain
